UCSF Dermatology is comparing the effectiveness, safety, and tolerability of two common acne treatments: spironolactone and doxycycline hyclate. We are recruiting women with moderate to severe acne, ages 16-40.
The study includes 3 in-person visits. Participants will be compensated $100 for each completed visit.

UCSF Dermatology is studying the skin barrier in older and younger adults. We are recruiting adults aged 20-40 or 65+ with no history of inflammatory skin disease.
There is a single 1-2 hour study visit. Participants are paid $90 for completion of the visit.

UCSF Dermatology is studying how sodium is stored in the skin in healthy adults and adults with atopic dermatitis. We are recruiting adults aged 50+ with atopic dermatitis and adults aged 50+ with healthy skin.
This study involves 4-6 in-person visits over 4 months to 2 years. Participants will be compensated with $200-$300 upon completion of the study.
